Induced termination of pregnancy
Induced termination of pregnancy is the removal of an embryo or a foetus from the uterine cavity surgically or by administering medicine (medical abortion).
A medical abortion can be induced at the request of the woman if the pregnancy has not lasted longer than 63 days (9 weeks).
In Estonia, a combination of mifepristone (Mifegyne) and misoprostol (Arthrotec) is used for medical abortions.
For providing day treatment and day surgery services, we ask you to first register for an ambulatory consultation with the appropriate medical specialist.
